Bacon Wrapped Green Beans

Contributed by Gregor S of Tampa FL.  He purchased a new Charbroil and replaced the factory grates with GrillGrates from day one after reading reviews.  He shared his maiden cook- WINNER WINNER Steak Dinner! What a nice and easy side dish. 

2 pounds whole, fresh green beans
3 tablespoons soft/room temp butter
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 pound thick sliced bacon
salt and pepper to taste


Blanch green beans by briefly submerging in a large pot of salted, boiling water. No more than two minutes in necessary. Remove the beans from the boiling water and immediately place into a container of ice water to “shock” or arrest the cooking process. Once cold remove the beans from ice water and pat dry.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the beans with the butter, minced garlic and salt and pepper and toss well.
Wrap 10-15 Beans with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick

Grilling Instructions:

Set grill to MED / LOW heat
Place the bacon wrapped bundles of love on your GrillGrates.
Turn several times until bacon is done. Approx 10-15 minutes.
