I never intentionally ate a beet, I admit it and even bloggedabout it. My wife loves them so it was only a matter of time. I was surprised that I actually liked them and we’ve grilled them several times since. They add great color to the grill and your plate and I understand they are very good for you… Beets being a root vegetable like potatoes grill in a similar manner.
One beet per person:
Peel and cut into halves or thirds
Oil liberally in a bowl or ziplock
Grill at low- med low 400F
15-20 minutes turning 2-3 times
Beets are done when soft and easily pierced
