Chef Tina Cannon shared this recipe with us for "boozy berries". She cores whole strawberries, injects with spiced rum and cooks right along side angel food cake on her GrillGrates. Top with vanilla ice cream and you've got a special dessert that feels effortless. The perfect summertime dessert!

Sliced Angel Food Cake or Pound Cake

Melted Butter or Spray Parkay

Spiced Rum

Directions

Step 1

Inject strawberries with spiced rum place in a shallow bowl and toss with 1/4 cup of white sugar or sugar in the raw

Step 2

Pour remaining rum over strawberries and let’s sit until you’re ready to grill. Brush or spray pieces of cake with butter or Parkay

Step 3

Put strawberries on a hot grill with grill Grates on top and cook until chard and place back in the bowl you remove them from grill your slices of cake until they get nice grill marks. Serve with vanilla ice cream with Boozy berries and the berry sauce drizzled over each slice of cake.
