Good concept, but...
Posted by Jim Sluder on Nov 22nd 2019
As others have mentioned, rust is a problem with this tool. If the coiled brush heads could be made from stainless steel, I think it would be a great tool. The brush gets gunked up pretty quickly when cleaning the grates. I found the best way to clean it is submerging it in boiling water with some dish soap. Then DRY IT THOROUGHLY! Unfortunately, it will still rust eventually.
HI Jim- the price would triple to go to Stainless we looked. I am really hard on my tools and found as you that hot water soak and rinse really works. Even on rusting brush. Even rusted brush works well- but eventually the rust wins and it needs to be replaced.
Rusted after a week or so

Good concept but cheap materials given it is complete rust after a very short time. I have other brushes for years with no sign of rust. I did see the keep out of elements comment. I buy BBQ equipment MADE for the elements. This one did not cut it.
Great Grate Brush

The grate brush works as advertised. Perfect fit for the Grill Grate. I used mine this evening during the initial warmup of the grill, does a great job cleaning. Cleans in the junction of the grill grates.

Who doesn’t want to store their brush in the compartment under your grill (Weber Genesis)? Better not, this brush was a rusted mess in a couple months. Never got a chance to see it form itself to the grates, so it never really cleaned the corners. The commercial brush is MUCH BETTER when used with a scrubber like scotch bright (with a handle). The detailing tool is also useful for the corners.
This brush makes cleanup a whole lot easier.

This grill brush does a really good job of cleaning my grillgrates. I am so glad Grillgrates came up with the idea of a grill brush especially made for grillgrates. Makes cleanup a whole lot easier.

I don’t recall it getting wet, but it rusted and eventually broke apart. It worked well before then.
Brad here- eventually the brush will wear out. Rust will happen faster if stored in open elements. I find that rust doesn't impede clean up but as soon as the brush starts to break- its time for a new one! GRILLON!

Brush fits perfectly in the grill grates, Removes build up and cleans easily.
Better with use

Received as part of my order for the grill grate. It does not conform to the actual grill grates at first but with a number of uses it pushed leftover scraps and bits to the back of the grates. Appreciate the coiled metal as opposed to the bristles that are gaining much attention these days.

Should have bought one when I ordered my Grill Grate, but I thought I could make my own from another brands cleaning brush...NOT!
Much easier to use and a perfect fit in the valleys.
