GrillGrates for Chargrillers are an excellent alternative to traditional cast iron grates. They offer many performance advantages over cast iron. GrillGrates are made of hard anodized aluminum. Aluminum is much more conductive for faster, more even heating. The raised rail design delivers bold, consistent sear marks, or flip the grate over for flat-top style griddling. GrillGrates develop excellent non-stick properties with use and are easy to clean and maintain. GrillGrates are 1/2 the weight of cast iron but offer twice the value in terms of energy savings, versatility and ease of use.

I purchased the commercial grates because 3 of them fit across my grill on top of my standard grates nicely with only a inch gap ether way.
Plus I love the tighter rib design it looks more professional.
But because of this I had to modified the grate tool to fit the 3/8 spacings within the valleys of commercial grillgrates.
So I actually have a 5finger grate tool/spatula instead of a 4finger standard tool. Works exactly the same way perfect clearance.
Grillgrates are the best accessory to anygrill.

I have the discontinued commercial grillgrates. Slight difference in length.
They are GRATE!!! honestly I like the tighter rib design it makes the grill marks look more professional.
the reason i went commercial was they fit my charcoal grill (Cajun Grill Preaux) for a cheaper price than standard grillgrates. Keep that in mind when looking to purchase. Work exactly the same i think better because of the size.
