Drop-in upgrade over rusted-out originals

I couldn't be happier with my GrillGrates. As advertised, they're a drop-in replacement for the original cast-iron grates that had rusted out on my Genesis grill. Also as advertised, they really do run hotter than the original grates, and with fewer cool spots. I've had to play a little bit with my cooking times for things like grilled chicken breasts, but I wish I had ordered these at least a year earlier. If you're debating it, don't wait like I did.

I live my Weber Genesis grill, but I didn't live the flare ups that came with it. I've only made ribs thus far, but no sign of flareups, flare ups, are ribs turned out fantastic.
I have the grates for my camp sized Weber grill, and made wings on them. Best wings I've ever grilled. I was hoping the grates would replace the existing ones, but they have to sit on top of them. No worries they work great.

Fun to grill with Grillgrates. I wish I had these sooner.
Best Grates Ever

Purchased these for my Weber Genesis E-310. Best performance I have ever gotten from the grill. The setting the temp is different with these vs OEM which take a little getting used to. Once you have gotten that down, the food is more evenly cooked.

From excellent customer to service to the crisp, beautiful grill marks that are seared onto anything you grill, these are a must for any grill. I'm in love with the product and will be a repeat customer.
I was lost, but now I am found.
Thank you GrillGrates!!
Perfect in Every Way

I would give this product 6 stars if I could. Brought new life to my 6 year old Weber. Perfect fit and performs exceptionally.

It was time to replace the grates anyway (again...) so I decided to try something different. Replacing parts is unfortunately a more common need with today's grills than those in the past it seems. So far, Grill-Grates has more than satisfied. The nature of the product does require you to monitor heat a little differently than with the OEM grates, but that's not a terrible thing, nor a hassle. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the product. I set things up with three in the "grate" position and two in the "flat" position for flexibility in cooking.
GGs for Genesis 300

I have used the grates twice since they replaced my original Weber grates, and, so far I am very pleased with them.
The steaks I have done came out nicely done with great grillmarks and (using my trusty Thermopen) a perfect medium rare.
I am still in a learning curve regarding maintaining the grates.
I have a suggestion for the GrillGrates that I think would make them easier to use on a gas grill that does not have a working "igniter". If each panel had one hole located midways that was bigger (like two holes combined) it would make it easier to use a butane lighter to light the gas. This would make it unnecessary to lift the grates ( and have to re-attach one or more) when lighting the burners on the Genesis 300.
Also, I ordered a set of GrillGrates for my Weber GoAnywares grill, and, do not understand why you make us buy the extra spatula (I know-the handle is shorter! to fit inside the little Weber). You should make this an option and price the grates with and without the spatula! (please Email me about this as your telephone support was not helpful when I tried to order just the GrillGrates without the spatula for the little Weber.)!
Nice replacement for cast iron

Even though these grates are a bit pricey, I feel it has been worth every cent. Great (grate) grill marks and an even temperature across the entire grill. I have yet to flip them over and use them as a flat top, but I am looking forward to doing so. Reduced flareups are nice as well. I hope they hold up as well as my Weber. The original cast iron grates have hit the trash can since this acquisition with no regrets.

Just installed my new grates and decided to try some pork medallions. Grill marks looked great, but you have to be careful with these grates.... they run much warmer than expected. Possibly over-cooked the meat a bit. This will take a little to get used to.
Once the grill is warmed to cooking temp I noticed that i don't get the "heat rush" when I open my grill. But it was certainly up to cooking temp.
I am planning on steaks this weekend and can't wait!!
