The Best Grilling Accessory You’ll Ever Buy for your Traeger Flatrock.
TheSear’NSizzle® Grate for Flat Tops by GrillGrate is revolutionizing cooking by making your griddle even more versatile. If you’re one of the many people using a flat top or griddle in your backyard, you can now convert it into the best grill on the block!
From GrillGrate’s Sear’NSizzle® line, the 17″ Grill Anywhere GrillGrate is made of hard anodized aluminum, a highly conductive and naturally nonstick surface that will bring your flat top griddle to the next level.
How does a hard-anodized aluminum grate make your food better? Our interlocking panels transform almost any cooking surface into a grill by trapping and concentrating heat – conducting it up the rails for GRATE searing. The valleys vaporize natural juices, adding moisture and grilled flavor back into anything you cook.
GrillGrates typically add 100 degrees or more to the griddle surface. Every set is rust-resistant and comes with a GrateTool which is part fork, part spatula that fits between the rails to get under your food and lift it without scraping.
Benefits:
- Faster cooking
- Simpler grilling with better results
- Reduced flare-ups
- Versatility
- Easy to use and clean
- Light and transportable
Your Griddle, But Better.
Seasoning
Once the Sear’NSizzle® GrillGrate has come up to temp, cut an onion in half and rub it on the tops of the rails. This is the best way to season new GrillGrates. You can also lightly use high-heat oils such as canola oil, grapeseed oil, or duck fat spray on a paper towel. Do not use extra virgin olive oil as it has a low smoke point.
Warming Up Suggestions
For medium heat cooks such as chicken and pork, place the Sear’NSizzle® GrillGrate on top and turn the heat to high or medium-high depending on how hot your flat top gets.
To achieve max heat for the best sear on steaks and burgers, preheat the flat top on high heat first, and then place the Sear’NSizzle® GrillGrate.
GRATETIP: Place the Sear’NSizzle® GrillGrate on the flattest part of the surface and/or the hottest known spot for best results. To find the hottest spot
Cleaning
Unlike traditional grills, you may want to do a simple clean after each use. Soaking in hot soapy water will help remove major debris and excess oil. Use a scraper, scrubby, or GrateTool to knock off baked-on debris. Do NOT place hot Sear’NSizzle® GrillGrates into water. The shock will warp the grate.
