Love this combo tool. It serves to free up one hand since it’s two tools in one.

I had one of their first tools similar to this but it had both sides as the slotted tongs. This made the tool quite flimsy and picking up a large steak was difficult. I have not tried this yet but the additional stiffness will be appreciated thanks to the one side being solid instead of a second set of the channel tongs.

My first set of tongs was great for many years. I got the great idea to try and “tweak” it a little and ended up breaking it. All my fault not the product. So I ordered a new set. Saw this and had to get it too. It is a huge improvement especially for handling something a little more delicate.

A perfect companion to your grates,

These work perfect! Great tool!
The spatula side has the exact spacing to match the grooves in the grill grate allowing you to position under the food before lifting and it eliminates any chance of catching the underside of the food and accidentally moving it back on the grate. The tong design enables you to safely lift the food with no risk of dropping it.
I really enjoy being able to flip between spatula and the fingered tongs to get under meats on the grill grates. And a friend, that I gifted a set of the combotongs to, says they are great when cooking salmon on the grill.

I bought this because I thought it would be good to be able to get under hamburgers and other meats with the fork and flip with the spatula. It does work for doing that but my hands are small and the tongs are so stiff, it will have to be a two-handed operation for me. I would recommend this for someone with larger and stronger hands.
HI Tonia, Yes these tongs can be a bit stiff. I have a suggestion- give them to a strong guy ask him to SQUEEZE the bend in further. That will tighten up the distance between the tines and make it easier hold and squeeze.
I am very happy that I bought this to use with my grill grates on my Weber grill. My only complaint is the tool requires quite a bit of grip strength to use. If it closed a bit more easily it would make it better for people like me who have limited grip strength.
We’re looking into that AJ. We had it happen on a shipment of Tongs a year or so ago. We did find you can squeeze at the top where the bend is and they will not open as wide. We will inspect our inventory and address. I use the combo tong a lot and need to pay attention!
THIS WAS HEAVIER THAN IS THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AND STIFFER IE REQUIRING MORE PRESSURE TO CLOSE, PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH THE STANDARD VERSION. BUT IT WORKS AS INTENDED, WELL CONSTRUCTED; A GOOD PRODUCT.

Larger & heavier than I expected but a useful tool for grilling & flipping & lifting off the grill.
Works great, just used it for 1/2 pound burgers. Wish it was a little wider, but it is versatile at this size.
