Have you ever thought of making Bananas Foster on the FLATSIDE of your GrillGrates? Thomas Scarano of The Gallery Backyard BBQ & Griddle once again shows us he'll take any recipe to grill, and as a result, take it from good to GRATE. (GrillGrate that is...🤩)

Ingredients

Servings

2

bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise and crosswise

1

stick Butter

1

cup dark brown sugar

3

tbsp

dark brown rum

1

tbsp

99 Bananas Liquor

0.5

tsp

ground cinnamon

1

pt

vanilla ice cream

1

orange zest

Directions

Step 1

Prep the bananas by slicing long lengthwise and crosswise.

Step 2

Preheat the GrillGrate to approximately 350°F at the GrillGrate surface.

Step 3

Add 1/4 stick of butter and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. You're looking for the brown sugar and butter to paste up.

Step 4

Once that occurs add your bananas another 1/4 stick of butter and another 1/8 cup of brown sugar.

Step 5

Once slightly browned flip and add 1 tablespoon of 99 bananas or your banana liquor of choice. Then add as needed brown sugar, and butter. (Remember your looking for mostly a paste-type substance. )

Step 6

Once browning is finished add the 3 tablespoons of dark run and light with a stick lighter (for the sake of your hands).

Step 7

Once the flame goes out plate of with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Add the zest of some orange for extra flavor.
