The smash burger has been extremely popular recently because people are realizing how delicious a burger cooked on a griddle can be.

Indoor Smash Burger

 4 oz ground beef
 2 slices American Cheese
 Salt and pepper

Preheat the SearNSizzle™ on broil in the highest setting for 10 minutes.

To prepare the burger patty separate the meat into two equal balls.

Put the meat on a sheet of parchment paper and cover with a second sheet of parchment paper.

Press the meat between the sheets of parchment paper to a very thin patty.

Using a tea saucer with taller sides to press down the meat will form consistent and even patties.

Make sure the patties are an even thickness with no holes.

Part of what makes the smash burgers so delicious is the crispy crust they get when cooked with the SearNSizzle™. A sprinkle of salt and pepper on the burger patties assists with this process so give them a good shake before cooking.

When the SearNSizzle™ is sufficiently preheated, place the thin patties on the griddle surface and peel back the parchment paper to begin cooking.

Adjust the device to cook on Air Crisp for 10 minutes at the highest temperature setting.

After a few minutes of cooking, you’ll notice tiny droplets of juices start to rise to the surface of the meat. The more juice droplets you see, the more done the burgers will be.

Flip at about four minutes taking care to scrape as much under the burger as possible to keep all the cooked bits intact.

Add cheese to the top of the flipped burger.

Cook for another minute or so until the cheese has melted to your liking.

Serve a double-stacked burger with your favorite condiments.
