Sous Vide cooking requires heating meat that is sealed in a vacuum bag to a preset temperature for a length of time. This tenderizes (pasteurizes) the meat making it extremely tender, but does not overcook it. However, when you finish the process you need to sear the meat to make it more appealing and to seal in rubs and spices. The GrillGriddle is perfect for finishing the process. You can evenly sear all sides of the meat on the griddle making it even more delicious and inviting.

I've had the GrateGriddle for some time now and love what I am able to do with it in conjunction with my Grill Grates. Veggies, smashburgers, potatoes, stir-fry, lots of options! The only downside is that there is a small (very small) ridge where the GrateGriddles connect together. I wish they were made in different widths so that I could have a single solid, flat surface to griddle on. Other than that, FANTASTIC!

Works great for searing, making smash burgers, breakfast.
Only down side is when cooking greasy foods, grease runs down into grill causing a mess. Would like to see a lip on the ends to help contain grease.

I removed two sections of my grillgrates and installed the griddle and a grillgap. This completely filled the grill area. I've used the griddle several times now. Actually not used the grate sections! Hamburgers,, sausages, pork chops and steaks... all just like restaurant results. The second best thing I've done to upgrade my BBQ. The first of course was installing grillgrates. Highly recommended.
Wonderful for crispy crust steaks.

I have two of these and have been using them well over a year. They are great for getting that perfect sear on a rare steak. I cook my salmon skin side down on low heat on these and you don’t get that dried out texture. They only rate 4 stars due to the fact that after awhile they bow and all liquids run to the edge immediately and pool. They are easy to clean and would be a wise addition to your grill.

I have been cooking on a regular Grill Grate, no holes, "upside down" to get great sears. This is exactly what I was trying to accomplish. Maillard effect across the WHOLE steak, not just on the grill bars. If you are handy, have a miter saw and a metal cutting blade... you can custom cut as needed. BUT wear safety equipment and be very very careful.
