Sweet potatoes are another root vegetable that seems to yield its best flavor when grilled. Sweet potatoes can be challenging since the sugar content is so high it is important not to blacken the outside too much. GrillGrates provide the extra protection to make grilling sweet potatoes picture perfect.

Depending on the size of the sweet potato you will either cut it into quarters or sixths.

Place in a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil, salt, pepper and BBQ rub and toss until sweet potatoes are coated with seasoning.

Grilling Sweet Potatoes with GrillGrate:

Preheat GrillGrates to 400F at the surface.

Place sweet potatoes on grill all in a row. This will make turning or "rolling" them much easier.
