  • Needed to replace my enamel coated cast iron grates because the enamel had come off. The only complaint I have is inherent in the design and was fully disclosed in the instructions. You can't put anything on top of the grill grates (pans, skillets, etc) without risking a heat build up hot enough to warp the grates. Solution, even though I don't trust my old grates to cook directly on them, I lubed them up with canola to ward off rust and left them on the grill under the grill grates. That way if I want to do beer braised brats on the grill, I can just take off a few of the grill grate panels and put my disposable braising pan directly on the original cast iron. Problem solved. I expect that these grates will last thru a lifetime of use.

  • I have the original KJ Classic. The Grillgrate is an excellent fit, and heat distribution with all 3 sections in place. It is possible to remove middle section and drop the outside 2 sections to the lower level of grill for high heat searing.

  • Replaced my cast iron grates with these. Steak, burgers and skewered shrimp come out great. Look forward to trying many more different foods to grill on them.

  • This setup does not cover the grill surface of your woodwind. You are better off measuring your surface area and ordering accordingly. I ended up ordering this without having the grill yet. When I finally had both of the products together, the 3 18.5" basically cover the area of the drip tray. I ended up ordering another 18.5" and a gap to cover the whole surface. I found, but haven't proven, you can fit the 19.25" x 4 and a gap piece and that would cover the existing grill surface. +++++++++++++++++++++ Brad here from GG- For most pellet grills we suggest 3 panel sear stations that don't cover the entire grill. You can as you suggest add more and often you will see the Pellet Grill run hotter as a result. Some try to not go beyond the drip tray to avoid grease from getting to the bottom of the grill. I personally never had an issue with that.

  • I recently bought my husband a pellet grill to save room on the patio. We’ve cooked steaks and burgers, and while they were good, we both missed the sear. I did a google search on searing on a pellet grill and came across this site. I ordered the searing station, and I could not be happier. The shipping was fast, arriving in 3 days from the order date. It arrived yesterday, and we used it for burgers last night. That seared grill flavor that we both missed is back. The burgers were delicious. I can’t wait to try it with steaks.

  • I purchased this item to go with my Kamado Joe Classic grill to help produce some awesome food coming off of the grill.

  • I love it, but the bristles are not resilient at high temps. I normally burn off the residue on the grill at top heat, leave the grill to cool for a little while then brush off. In this manner I have only been able to make the brush head last for about 1 year (we cook almost year round). The problem is that with tax and shipping it gets really expensive - almost $50 for a grill brush. I am getting ready to order my 3rd brush in 3 years (brush, brush head, brush again). ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brad here- Heat control is the key. I use this brush more than the valley brush- I use it daily. During warm up. Once full hot- you can brush do so in quick strokes not slowly. Watching heat should make the brush last more than 1 year. Your feedback is helpful and we'll try to include that in our product info better going forward too.

  • This tool is a perfect match for Grillgrates. Makes it very easy to turn food on the grill, and even to loosen or free food if needed as the edges between the "fingers" can ride along the top of the Grillgrate ridges. Also, the tips of the fingers are angled, making them effective for cleaning out the valleys of the Grillgrates. I did modify the handle of my GrateTool. It was just too long to fit in any drawer near my grill so I cut off about 1 1/2 inches, drilled a fresh hole for the rawhide tie, used a Dremel tool to round the edges, and drilled a new hole for the rawhide strip.

  • Great brush and an improvement from the original version.

  • The 19.25 GrillGrate station fits my Pit-Boss Pro 1100 perfectly. I have two sets of GrillGrates which leaves room for a single original grate and the combination is perfect. The GrillGrates allow me to use my Pit-Boss pellet grill just like a standard gas or charcoal grill. Great grill marks on Burgers and Steaks and easy to maintain. I would recommend these to ALL grill owners, regardless of type of grill, gas, charcoal or pellet.

  • Purchased for Xmas to wife. They work exactly as advertised whether turning a metal skewer on grill, taking baking dish from 400 degree oven or grabbing the handle of our older cephalon pans from stove. Gave 4 stars only because wife has small hands and has to really put them on like gloves (press between fingers).

  • Easy to use and easy to store and clean . This grill grate makes grilled food taste as good as an outdoor grill . Suculent and tasty . A must have for anyone that has the Ninja Foodi

  • Works well with my Foodi Grill Grate

  • I use this in conjunction with the Slow n Sear (SnS) product. It works great, no flare ups as advertised. Easy clean up too. However, even though Grill Grates told me it works with the SnS, the SnS gets very hot, so I have to be very careful to keep the grill vents only halfway open, so as not to exceed the 850 degree max that the Grill Grates can handle. So glad I have a infrared thermometer to measure the grill temps.

  • I love being able to sear my ribeyes & chicken thighs directly over the coals without having a runaway grease fire. Great addition to the PK360!

  • When I owned my home, I grilled 2-3 times a week. I now live an apartment and purchased my Ninja because countertop indoor grills couldn’t produce the grilled foods I love. With the Sizzle n Sear grill grate, I look forward to bringing back the flavor and texture I love in my favorite grilled dishes.

  • Bought for my PK but love using on my gas grill also.We cook a lot on the grills so it makes for quick and easy meals on the gas grill after work. The consistent temps on the gas made it so easy to season them evenly. Now when I use them on the PK they work perfect. Absolutely awesome product.

  • I have an open top grill commercial style grill and was hoping these grates would up the lackluster performance when searing. Unfortunately, the grates did not perform this task. Additionally, the grates weren't all able to lock together due to manufacturing inconsistencies, and I had to take a pair of pliers to them to get 2 pieces to seat properly. +++++++++++++++++++++ Hi Derek - we'll be reaching out to you about the interlocking aspect. AND very surprised GG did not deliver a heat pop- we do on almost any heat source- especially open / no lid grills like event grills. Brad
