We haven't cooked on it yet. We have a porcelain grill and the grillgrate is meant to sit on top of that. The grill grate is about an inch shorter than the porcelain grate and slides around freely, I'm not sure that is going to affect cooking/flipping of meat or damage the porcelain. The grillgrate is extremely fine quality; heavy, smooth and nicely designed. If I knew what I know now I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I've had mine for maybe 8 years now, It's the perfect tool. You can't find thermometers with all of these specific features. The timer is a great thing to have! Mine finally malfunctioned after all of this time. I've played around with some cheaper ones, but I'm definitely ordering another one of these because it's perfect. The only thing I wish it was is magnetic. But that is so minor!

GrillGrate corrected their problem with a personal phone call and immediate correction when they discovered their error. Very good old fashioned service that you seldom see today.

The brush itself works great to get in the grates. The twisted wire connecting the brush to the handle may not be the best attachment, and seems like it will probably bend out of shape over time. The reduced rating is due to the scraper. It is extremely soft metal and bends when used with very minimal force. I've had to straighten it several times, and I've come to the conclusion the scraper is pretty much useless. That doesn't make the rest of the tool bad, but don't plan on doing much scraping. One would be better off using a stiff spatula, putty knife, or one of the many other generic grill brushes that have a built in scraper.

The long metal piece seems a bit flimsy; some of the other GrateTool spatulas have a longer wooden handle and shorter metal connection, and would probably be more durable over time. Still, for 10 bucks it works fine to get between the grates and under whatever you're grilling, and it seems like it will be much better at handling food on a GrillGrate than a normal spatula.

Good size, will hold the grates and tools I've acquired for them when the GrillGrates aren't in use.

Works as one would expect, except it can be a bit tricky to get something you're turning back off the tong and onto the GrillGrates. My first attempt was a piece of salmon that pretty much disintegrated as I was trying to get the uncooked side back on the GrillGrate, but I'll chalk that up to experience. I would have preferred the combo spatula and tong, but it was out of stock and I didn't want to pay additional shipping if/when it returns to stock.

Absolutely love my new GrillGrate’s!! I especially enjoy the griddle side, burgers, chicken & fish come out amazing, nice crust, great cook. Yes i highly recommend GrillGrate’s, my Nexgrill has new life!! Thx GG

I had had a grill grate set that did not fit the entire grill. I loved it, but I wanted the set that fit my entire grill surface, and this was it, and boy is it a pleasure to use my Weber grill with Grill Grates rather than the regular grill surface.

Have had my eye on GrillGrates for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. Couldn’t be happier. They don’t literally eliminate all flare-ups, because fat can pool in the slots between the ridges and ignite, but that’s uncommon—it only happened the first time I used them, so maybe a seasoning issue. The grill marks are the best you’ll find outside of bare cast iron, and the griddle feature is an awesome option to have at your disposal. Also has had the additional benefit of helping my grill preheat faster. Maybe because they trap heat better than an open set of grates? Highly recommended; will always use these on my grills now.
