These Grates were cut by hand to get them into the market fast and in time for the holidays. We’ve deburred the edges. The cut edge is unanodized and will not affect the cooking surface. There may be minor scratches, but they are only cosmetic. The industry term is coining. You can’t feel them, and they have no impact on the cook or cleanability.
At MAX Temps you will see very fast cook times and significant carry-over cooking. Adjust your cook times and temps accordingly and pull your food 5-10 degrees less than your target temps.
Don’t forget- NO Dishwasher as the detergents are caustic and can pit your SNS Grate

Noticeablely sharp metal pieces sticking out on some of the corners of my brand new grate. When I hand wash it, I have to be very careful not to cut my hand. I am not very happy about that. It fits my Ninja Foodi great though.

HI Bong- we continue to improve the rounded edges on the Ninja Grate. They are not hand cut. The deburring on the edges has been improved as well.

This grillgrate is so much easier to clean than the original Foodi XL grill. Unlike the Foodi non-stick grill, you do have to build a non-stick surface on this over time but the easy cleaning makes this so worth it! The edges are smooth enough not to scratch the base pot. I had the searnsizzle for the smaller Foodi grill and that one had edges that scratched the interior, but I got the XL version when I upgrade to the XL grill and the XL searnsizzle edges are much better. Works great!
