If you’re looking for the perfect date night recipe to impress your special someone, you’ve come to the right place. This romantic recipe was developed by friend of GrillGrate, Dom Holloway (@smokepointq) and features the GrillGrate for Pizza + Indoor Ovens. This recipe serves two.

Filet Mignon steaks

Salt & Pepper to taste

olive oil

balsamic vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Place the GrillGrate for Pizza + Indoor Ovens and preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Season the Filet Mignon steaks with salt and pepper, then brush them with olive oil.

Step 3

Sear the steaks on each side for 2-3 minutes until they develop grill marks.

Step 4

Leave the seared steaks in the oven and continue cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes for medium-rare (adjust cooking time based on your desired doneness).

Step 5

While the steaks are in the oven, prepare the balsamic glaze.

In a small saucepan, simmer the balsamic vinegar over low heat until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

Step 6

Once the Filet Mignon is cooked to your liking, remove them from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the steaks just before serving.
